I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. After
dental school, I successfully completed an advanced
residency program in general dentistry at the VA Medical
Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This residency
program proved to be extremely valuable from a
professional standpoint, as it not only provided me with
an environment in which to further develop my technical
skills in general dentistry, but also afforded me the
opportunity to become proficient in emerging "high-tech"
areas of dentistry, such as implantology.
After
residency, I moved to my wife's hometown of Billings,
Montana for one year, so that Susan could help care for
her mother, who unfortunately was suffering from
Alzheimer's Disease. While in Billings, I worked for a
general dentist as his associate. This one-year
associateship helped me to prepare for the future
challenges of operating a private dental practice. After
one year in Montana, Susan and I as avid cyclists and hikers, fell in love with the Santa Cruz Valley. In April, 2000,
we threw out the anchor, purchased a practice, and began
living and practicing dentistry in Green Valley. Most recently I earned Fellow of the Academy of
General Dentistry (F.A.G.D.) status. In order to achieve
the status of Fellow, a dentist must practice
comprehensive care dentistry for a minimum of three
years, successfully complete specific education courses, and pass a rigorous
board exam. More importantly, in order to maintain the
status of Fellow I am required to continue to complete
training in specific areas of dentistry. Of the 143,000
general dentists practicing in the United States, only
13,000, or 9%, are Fellows of the Academy. There are only
66 Fellows in the State of Arizona. Susan
and I are active
in the local animal rescue organization. We now live with
12 rescued animals--4 dogs, 7 cats, and a rabbit. Click here

also active in the
Animal
League of Green Valley,
Friends of Madera Canyon &
Green Valley
Assistance Services. In
summary, we are extremely pleased with our decision. The
magnificent countryside affords us endless possibilities
for cycling and hiking, and our fabulous patients make
coming to work each day a true pleasure. It is hard to
believe that several years have passed since we began
operating our dental practice. It has truly been a
privilege to work for such a wonderful clientele, and we
look forward to treating the dental needs of the Green
Valley Community for many years to come. |
